The Royals Report (TRR) is West Palm Beach Junior Academy’s student led news program, teaching students in grades 3–8 communication, journalism, and media production skills. Under the direction of Mr. Tito, students learn to anchor, interview, write scripts, film, and edit while sharing school news, celebrating achievements, and highlighting biblical values.
“Reporting with Purpose. Inspiring Through Faith.”
Students practice operating cameras, using a clapboard to identify takes, writing scripts, and serving as gaffers to help set up lighting. They also gain experience directing, reporting, anchoring, managing equipment, designing sets, and editing footage. By rotating through these responsibilities, students learn what happens both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Each production gives students opportunities to apply classroom learning to real situations. They strengthen reading and writing through scripting, practice public speaking through reporting and anchoring, and use creativity and technical skills to bring stories to life. They learn to meet deadlines, follow directions, solve problems, care for equipment, and work together toward a shared goal.
Rooted in biblical values, The Royals Report encourages students to communicate truthfully, serve others, and use their talents with purpose. As they share school news and celebrate achievements, they build confidence and practical skills that prepare them for future learning, careers, and service.
